Advent HOPE from the balcony
Who are We?
Dedication to Christ, sharing His love, pointing to His soon return. That's what Advent HOPE is all about. We are a branch Sabbath School under the Loma Linda University Church which strives to bring you quality spiritual substance: from deep Bible study, to community outreach activities and fellowship, to challenging messages designed to stir you up toward Godliness and unity in the faith:
Bible Study: Join us each Saturday morning as we open up our Bibles and thoughtfully consider the truths and beauties of God's Word.
Worship: Sabbath School begins promptly at 9:00 AM with Song Service. We then divide into small groups to interactively study the Scriptures. After a short break, the second hour begins. This starts with another Song Service, followed by announcements about local events and how you can become involved. Finally, a short sermon is given to further strengthen and encourage us in our faith.
Outreach: A big part of what we are all about, outreach is where the "rubber meets the road". in our faith. Advent HOPE sponsors many outreach activities, including nursing home visits, visiting with community members in their homes, giving personal Bible studies, short-term mission trips, and more.
Fellowship: As young adults, we appreciate the fellowship that a group like Advent HOPE provides. Activites include regular hikes, socials and occasional week-end trips. If you are new to Loma Linda and would like to expand your group of friends, Advent HOPE is an excellent place.
Personal Commitment: Corporate worship and Bible study are important for maintaining one's faith, but none of this can substitute for a personal daily walk with our Lord Jesus Christ. As time progresses and we draw nearer to Christ's Second Coming, the more we must be seeking an intimate connection with Him. Advent HOPE encourages an active relationship with Christ through personal Bible study, prayer, and sharing with others what God has done for us.
