Advent HOPE is run by young professional and student VOLUNTEERS, so there is a need that YOU can fill! If you’re interested in getting involved in one of these areas, let us know when you’re available by filling out one of the forms below. For questions please email us at contact@advent-hope.org.
Evangelism
There is a world out there that needs Jesus! God can use you to reach out to the world. Join us for global mission trips and urban evangelism projects. We need physicians, surgeons, nurses, and all types of allied health professionals for our mission trips. If you are still in school we can still use you for our mission trips. God qualifies the called!
Sabbath School
Advent HOPE Sabbath School is a young adult ministry of the Loma Linda University Church. We meet at 9:00 AM for a Bible-based discussion-style study of the Bible followed by a message at 10:00 AM. It takes many people working together to put on a successful program every Sabbath. There are many ways you can help out in Sabbath School. We need students who can play instruments for special music, sing, and lead out in discussions as Sabbath School teachers. Also needed are people to help with logistics and planning for our weekly services and events.
Inreach
We enjoy God’s nature through hiking and beach vespers, so if you have some good places in mind, get involved and share! During the week you are welcome to join or lead out in a small group Bible study, fellowship activities, or help out at our potlucks.
Outreach
There are different outreach opportunities during the week as well as on Sabbath. We are also looking for volunteers who are willing to open up their homes and invite guests to join them for a small Sabbath potluck. “Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels” (Hebrews 13:2).
