Hendel Butoy
Hendel Butoy, is a retired professional/professor of animation. He worked for the Walt Disney Company in Burbank, California, through the 80’s and 90’s, where he contributed to several of their productions as an animator and director. After 24 years, he accepted an invitation to teach for the School of Visual Art and Design at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee. He helped to develop the curriculum for animation at Southern and taught there for 20 years until his retirement in 2025. He serves as an Elder for the McDonald Road SDA church and has regularly led Sabbath School lesson studies for over 35 years. He currently lives in Ooltewah, Tennessee with his one and only precious wife of 33 years from the Philippines, Menjette.
