ABOUT

Advent HOPE is a young adult Sabbath School of the Loma Linda University Church in which a group of young professionals and university students meet every Sabbath morning from 9:00 – 11:30 AM.

HOPE stands for Helping Others Prepare for Eternity. We therefore seek, as young people, to gain experience in faith, leadership, teaching, preaching, deep study of the Word of God, and service to others.

Our Sabbath School is divided into two portions:

Advent Hope membersFrom 9:00-10:00 AM we have various group discussions such as the Seventh-day Adventist Sabbath School Quarterly, Christ's Object Lessons, as well as focused discussions on certain books of the Bible. From time to time, we also hold evangelism training discussions.

From 10:00-11:30 AM we have a guest speaker share a message. These speakers include evangelists and leaders of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church, missionaries, young professionals, as well as students.

Every first Sabbath of the month is our Visitors Sabbath and a great opportunity to invite your friends. We want our guests to always feel welcome, but we want to go out of our way on these special Sabbaths, as our messages are specifically focused on a broader audience of hearers.

We invite you to join us in learning how to be effective in using your talents for God. He desires for us to Learn and Share with others, but most of all He wants us to Live what we believe. In doing so, we will not only Help Others Prepare for Eternity but He will also prepare each one of us, by His grace, to see Jesus face to face.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 3:18)
